Have you heard? Connecticut is officially surrounded by states (RI, NJ, NY and MA) that have passed comprehensive paid family and medical leave legislation. To attract young workers to our state – and support families, caregivers, and businesses – CT must be next!

Every year since 2015, the General Assembly has inched closer to passage of paid leave. Now, it’s time to use our ballots to elect candidates who will commit to bringing legislation over the finish line in 2019. From now until Election Day on November 6, 2018, it’s time to take a stand for paid family and medical leave!

That’s why the Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF) has created The Time is Now: Voter and Candidate Guides to Women’s Economic Security – two resources for voters to talk about paid leave and other key issues with local candidates, and for candidates to highlight paid leave on the campaign trail.

Together, let’s use Election 2018 to send the message: progress is past due and we won’t wait any longer for paid leave. Check out The Time is Now: Voter’s Guide to Women’s Economic Security.
