“When I had both of my children, now 4 yr and 2 yr old, I took 4 months off from work. I was paid short term disability during that time. I also used vacation time. My employer then allowed each child to come to work with me. I was given an office with a door so I could have privacy to nurse. This allowed me more time to bond with each child and still be paid. I’m so grateful that my employer was open minded and allowed this arrangement. At first coworkers were concerned about smells and noise but each realized neither was an issue.”
